Politics is not run on egos; Congress to Kejriwal

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Ajay Maken, criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party’s double standards in deriving political mileage whenever it suits them, said that  had the Congress not supported the AAP party, BJP would have formed Government in Delhi in 2013 and AAP would have been “history”.

The media had reported today that the Aam Aadmi Party was expecting a call from Congress president Shri Rahul Gandhi for AAP support for the Congress  candidate in the election to the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman’s post.

Maken said that the same AAP had supported the BJP in the Rajya Sabha  on the issue of “signing the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice of India?”.

Maken accused the AAP of supporting the  BJP by fielding AAP candidates against the Congress party. “Why are you supporting the BJP by selectively fielding your candidates against the Congress Party”, asked Shri Maken.

Taking the AAP to task for its statement that “politics is not run on egos”, Shri Maken said that “Yet AK (Arvind Kejriwal) is sulking because didn’t get a call from RG-thus helped BJP”.
